Image of the Day...

Just because I thought this was a cool shot...it's another image from my senior shoot. She's on the dance team at school. Not sure what they're calling it these days. In my day it was the POMS squad.

Cooperation...

It's rare that I can get Brinley to cooperate in front of the camera. Even when she was just 9 months old she would look down the minute she saw the camera at my face and immediately look up when I put the camera down. I managed to get this yesterday...

And then apparently she thinks it's hysterical when you tell her that various members of her family eat their boogers...

After going through several family members (including uncles) I got this look...followed up with "Mom, you're going to have to think of something else now"

Be aware of  THIS STORY

And don't forget the mother in THIS STORY trusted and hired the accused to do handyman work around their home.

       It is my belief that people should proactively educate themselves on the dangers that exist in our society today. I realize stories like these could happen to anyone, including me!

I am not on some moral high ground thinking that I can “always protect” my children. I try my best to be aware of what is in the world and take the steps I feel are necessary to teach my own children. I feel that is my responsibility as their mother. I do not live by the principal “if it’s not talked about in church then I don’t know about it.”

       The message I wish everyone to hear is that the adversary adapts. I feel it is our responsibility to understand his ancient and modernized tools in order to protect our families. I believe if you don’t know what they are, you must go learn them.

Image of the Day

So I've been playing with a new camera (not mine, I'm borrowing it) I haven't quite decided what I think since I feel like I'm having a bit of focusing issues...but I've learned that seems to be a pattern with me and new cameras. Here are some from about an hour ago....aside from the fact I can't stand Alexa's Minnie mouse shirt I can't complain too much since they were cooperating SO much better than Brinley's pictures....who you'll notice are not even worth posting.
